Pastor Garrett Hager was called to be the Pastor of FBC Hico on July 7, 2024. He firmly believes that a life devoted to chasing after Jesus is the only life worth living. He is passionate about studying scripture and striving to apply its truth to his life and teaching others to do the same. He is convinced that true discipleship occurs in close relationships that are developed and strengthened through participation in regular fellowship and service to the church and community. He is an avid family man. He has been married to his wife Sarah for 22 years and they have 5 children (4 daughters and 1 son). He retired from the Marine Corps as a Lieutenant Colonel after 20 years of service. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University (BA in English), The Naval Post-Graduate School (MBA), and is currently attending Howard Payne University (Masters of Arts in Theology and Ministry).
